KEVIN BOOTS
Lifelong Alaskan Attorney
Kevin Boots joined the firm in 2019 and is one of the firm’s members. He was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, and returned after law school for a judicial clerkship with Judge Peter Michalski of the Anchorage Superior Court in 2009. Judge Michalski convinced Kevin to delay private practice in order to engage in public service and gain trial experience, and so Kevin joined the Alaska Public Defender Agency as a trial attorney in the Anchorage office, although his cases ultimately took him statewide. During his time at the Public Defender Agency, Kevin represented thousands of Alaskans in Alaska courts in cases ranging from simple misdemeanors to complex, serious felonies. Kevin’s last two years were spent in the Agency’s appellate unit, where he represented clients in post-conviction relief matters.
At Reeves Amodio, Kevin has developed a varied practice, which includes environmental law, business and corporate matters and transactions. His specialty though is in litigation, where Kevin’s practice includes both plaintiff and defense side representation, employment law, construction and real estate issues, and criminal defense. He enjoys applying his extensive courtroom experience to helping his clients resolve disputes in cost effective, meaningful resolutions. His clients include individuals, small and large businesses, and local governments around the state.
When not in the office, Kevin enjoys the great Alaska outdoors, splitting chauffeur duties with his wife for their three children, and the Sisyphean task of wearing out their golden retriever.
